Australia Solar Fuel (Carbon Conversion Team)

Meeting Time

Project Description

The Australia Solar Fuel team is addressing the problem of efficiently using a large, remote amount of land for sustainable development. Currently, this project exists as a systems design for a base case of 10,000 acres of land located in Central Australia. There are two teams which are working on different components of this EPICS project, both teams focusing on different systems that are intended to work in unison. The two aspects of the project are the solar capture technology and the carbon conversion technology. The carbon conversion team is working to develop the part of the system in which carbon dioxide is captured from the air and converted to a fuel, later to be combusted for power in a net carbon neutral cycle.
