Prescott Pines – Ropes Course

Meeting Time

Wednesday 4:35PM

Project Description

Prescott Pines, a camp and recreation center, lacks a challenge course aimed at 4th-6th graders. The course should be a positive and engaging learning experience in taking on a challenge and working together as a team. The feet of the kids using the course must remain no more than 10 feet off the ground at all times. The course should be securable so that people cannot access it when it is closed.

The current solution is to design a low ropes course for Prescott Pines with an intermediate level of difficulty appropriate for 4th-6th graders. The course will be used to teach the kids life lessons through fun and engaging team-building obstacles. A course CAD model has been developed, and the physical prototyping phase will be the next step in the design process.
