Ag-Tech Weather Monitoring Station

Meeting Time

Monday 7 PM

Project Description

The team will be designing a system to measure key parameters that relate to farming. Many small-scale farmers are unable to afford technologies to improve their crop. The team will determine the key parameters important to farming and will design a low-cost system to aid farmers in Yuma, Arizona. The end goal of the system is to provide additional data and information to farmers to allow them to have a more successful crop yield.

Examples:

pH sensor, soil moisture sensor, UV sensor, soil nutrient sensor, etc.

Main low cost tools exist, but the team will determine the best options for tools and create a framework to aid farmers who are unable to afford the commercial grade (expensive) equipment.
