Modular Solar Noise Barriers

Meeting Time

Monday 7PM

Project description

The aim of this project is to design and develop a prototype of a modular solar noise barrier that combines solar energy production with noise absorption characteristics. The project will focus on integrating solar panels with sheet metal components to create a modular system that is easy to assemble offsite, transport, and integrate on-site. The final deliverables will include design specifications, realistic renderings, and an analysis of the structural capacity of the modules.

The project aims to provide solar energy to abutting communities and/or DOTs while protecting these communities from noise pollution in Arizona.
The second half of the project may include communication with communities, DOTs and stakeholders to carry on a pilot with the new design.
