Project Description
This project consists of a PPE cooling application that allows construction workers or any workers who are exposed to the hot Phoenix summers to cool off during the workday more efficiently. As each summer goes by, statistically there are more heat related deaths during the summertime as the temperatures in the valley have been increasing year after year. Our goal is to design, test, and build two prototypes of this vest that uses chemical applications for water to run through the pipes of the vest. Our goal is to have a lightweight design that has cooling capabilities, while not interfering with day-to-day tasks of someone who works in construction.
