Project description
The Campus Maps team is collaborating with the ASU Mobile App team to improve campus navigation. The current Maps section has major usability and accessibility issues, causing dissatisfaction among students and faculty. Our goal is to build a proof-of-concept that enhances the user experience while remaining modular for later integration into the ASU Mobile App. This semester, the focus is on developing a Bathroom Finder tool to help students and visitors locate restrooms with real-time navigation and user-submitted ratings. The project will include:
- Researching user needs and pain points
- Benchmarking navigation solutions
- Prototyping with React Native and testing UI/UX
- Building an initial database of bathroom locations and reviews
The outcome will provide actionable insights and potential solutions for adoption by the ASU Product Team.
