Project description
Encounter Farm is a community garden with several plots that grows a diverse range of crops. The farm’s goal is to support local food security while growing food sustainably in Arizona’s desert climate. For this project, the farm needs a reliable, low-maintenance irrigation system that can reduce drought stress between flood-irrigation events and avoid unnecessary overwatering.
Encounter farm would like us to update the Spring 2026 irrigation system so that it becomes fully functional again, and durable enough to remain functional for a long time. They would also like us to update the safety cover over the pond, and the irrigation control box, so that they can more easily access them, without compromising safety.
