Project description
Stray dogs are left abandoned on the streets in numerous parts of India, both urban and rural. These dogs are void of any medical attention, human care, food, shelter and any population control. WoofCare was an idea that felt “needed” as a common man who loves dog but becomes helpless and incapable of helping these stray dogs. Though there’re a lot of NGO’s and Rescue Shelter homes, not all organizations have the available capacity to cater another stray animal or are financially capable of funding the proper care of another street dog. For a common person spotting a stray animal in need of help, contacting such NGO’s becomes a hassle often.
WoofCare aims to make this process of connecting a common man trying to help a stray animal, with NGO’s, Shelter Homes and also other common people who are ready to adopt a stray animal post-vaccination. Furthermore, WoofCare will also indirectly connect these street dogs with donation services provided directly to the NGO’s for funding of the veterinary expenses.
