Project Description

For this project, our community partner requires a new way to accurately measure the quality of water of shrimp ponds in order to adequately monitor the health and yield of the shrimp. This includes a device that will take specific measurements of various aspects of the water two feet below its surface, while remaining mostly outside of the water. The sensors shall remain in the water for up to a month before requiring maintenance or battery replacement. The device will send data about the water to an app and provide alerts for the users that signify any water conditions that are not ideal for shrimp. This data will be stored to the cloud. Our design shall improve the overall efficiency of the shrimp farming process, as we will be offering an improved shrimp pond water monitoring system.
