Project Description

Flooding in Indonesia is a persistent issue due to impermeable soil and large areas of concrete. Schools are flooded numerous times each year for multiple days due to heavy rainfall. To address this, BioPore technology—small, permeable holes that facilitate water infiltration—have been introduced in elementary schools. However, the current manual maintenance process relies on hand tools operated by students, making large scale implementation difficult. This will be especially difficult in impermeable areas that require many BioPores, and the lack of current technology leads to increased time and physical labor
