Project Description
“Biopore Heroes: Turning Waste into Wonders!” is a sustainability project for Adiwiyata cadres in Surabaya schools to tackle flooding, waste, and soil degradation. The project introduces biopore infiltration holes to boost water absorption, reduce organic waste, and enrich soil. Students will learn to create and maintain biopores, compost daily organic waste, and lead peers in eco-friendly practices. Through workshops, hands-on installation, and monitoring, they’ll build environmental awareness and leadership. Biopores will manage rainwater, cut runoff, and support green spaces. By the project’s end, students will witness how small, consistent actions create healthier school environments, becoming young heros who inspire sustainable habits in their communities.
