Indonesia: Rural Energy Pioneer
Meeting Time
Tuesday 5pm
Project Description
This project aims to empower coastal communities in Indonesia by providing education and training on renewable energy mainly solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Despite the government’s growing efforts to implement solar PV projects in rural areas, there is a significant gap in education, support, and maintenance resources. This initiative will offer comprehensive training on understanding, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing solar PV systems, enabling local residents to independently manage the solar installations on their islands or communities. By equipping participants with practical skills and knowledge, the project seeks to promote sustainability and self-reliance, ultimately enhancing the long-term success of solar energy solutions in remote coastal areas. The training will include hands-on sessions, educational modules, and localized resources tailored to the unique needs and challenges of rural populations.
