Project Description

Waste management in Bengkulu Province continues to pose significant environmental challenges, with plastic waste frequently mismanaged and accumulating in the ecosystem. An innovative and sustainable solution involves repurposing plastic waste into construction materials, such as paving blocks, concrete bricks, and asphalt mixtures. This approach not only alleviates the issue of plastic waste accumulation but also offers the potential to produce construction materials that are both durable and cost-effective. This initiative will primarily utilize Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), a widely used plastic found in mineral water bottles, soda bottles, cooking oil packaging, and sauce containers. To ensure a consistent supply of recyclable materials, PET waste will be collected from the Modern Traditional Market Area of Bengkulu City
