Project Description
Print-A-Smile at Arizona State University is a student-led initiative dedicated to bringing joy to children in need through 3D printing and modeling. The organization designs and creates unique, custom toys for children who are impoverished, sick, or have special needs, partnering with places like Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Ryan House, Ronald McDonald House, and Future for Kids. By combining creativity with technology, Print-A-Smile uses engineering for a compassionate purpose: brightening the lives of children across the Valley. Starting this year, Print-A-Smile is also being offered as an EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service) project, under the name “3D Printed Toys for Children in Need”, giving passionate and experienced 3D modeling students the opportunity to apply their skills to a meaningful cause. This project allows students not only to sharpen their technical abilities but also to directly impact the community by donating their work. Through service, innovation, and collaboration, this project empowers SunDevils to make a tangible difference, one toy, and one smile, at a time.
