Project Description
The Centre for Polymer Composites SMEs Through Sustainable, environmentally friendly, and Lightweight Aqueduct project will be held in Cilegon City, Banten Province-Indonesia. The project provides local communities whom capable to improve their life quality as well as preserving the local environment by establishing the SMEs centre. The local communities are still facing problems: low income, limited access to jobs and CSR program of steel and petrochemical industries nearby, the lack of empowerment to enhance individual or group skills, bad sanitation, and plastic caused environmental pollution. These issues, in turn, increase unemployment, security disturbances, discomfort in life and social interactions, and environmental pollutions. The project goal is to establish the polymer composites SMEs centre that is capable for empowering the income and skills of local communities and their environmental awareness through sustainable, environmentally friendly, and lightweight aqueduct.
