Project Description:
The Bridge2Africa Braille Display Project, in partnership with Tetragon.at, focuses on improving access to web content for blind and partially sighted users by combining intelligent software with affordable braille display hardware. While the internet offers many educational opportunities, much of it is still difficult to navigate without vision. Tetragon.at, an Austrian company that develops innovative braille hardware, is the project’s primary community partner and provides the devices used for development and testing, while Prinshof School for the Partially Sighted and Blind in South Africa contributes user feedback to help ensure the solution is practical and usable in real-world settings.
