Project Description:
This project is working with a local Arizona start–up company to combat food desert issues for restaurants, local community gardens, or individuals. The project foals include the design and construction of a self-contained, climate-controlled hydroponic farm capable of growing food year-around completely off the grid. Housed inside a repurposed 40-foot shipping container (or a half-container “backyard” version), This farm brings fresh, nutrient-dense produce directly to communities facing food access challenges though a CSA-style delivery model (subscription farm boxes) and direct restaurant sales.
