Project Description
The Interactive 3D Cardiac Simulator project will work with local Fire/MedicalDepartments to create a visual training tool for paramedics in learning heart functions under variousconditions. Paramedics learn best via visual and kinesthetic methods and having an interactive cardiacsimulator that the Medical Director can input various parameters to show how the heart reacts andfunctions with different cardiac situations and medications at various levels will vastly improve firstresponse emergency care for cardiac patients. Electrical Conduction Visualization – The model animateselectrical flow through the heart, demonstrating various cardiac rhythms. Pharmacological Simulation –Visualize how medications affect electrical pathways and heart function at both micro (cellular) and macro(global) levels. Anatomical Exploration – User can peel away heart layers to understand its structure.
Relevant Skills: Medical Knowledge (Cardiology, Pharmacology), Medical Imaging interpretation, Back End Developer, Simulation Frameworks, 3D modeling tools (Blender)
