Project Description:
Our community partner is Family Promise AZ, Family Promise AZ offers a safe environment for homeless families for up to 60 days to help them get back on their feet. They recently opened a third location in Mesa, AZ and would like assistance in upgrading their communal backyard area to be more kid and family friendly. This project will utilize their existing gazebo materials, determine what parts are missing, and construct a gazebo to provide shade to those using the backyard area. Additional Components of the backyard upgrades should include community raised garden beds. The goal of Family Promise AZ is to offer a safe environment for homeless families to get back on their feet. The organization’s mission is to provide emergency shelter and social services that help families move toward independent housing and self-sufficiency.
