Vietnam GIE – Spring 2020
Across the country of Vietnam, flooding is a major issue. The country can get upwards of 98 inches of rain per year, making it a common complaint among residents. Working with the best and brightest of Da Nang University of Technology, we aim to tackle this issue. Our goal is to develop a web app that allows citizens to be informed about where there city is flooded in order to stay safe. The app will connect to solar-powered data collection stations along the beaches to determine areas to avoid and even offer up alternative routes for their commutes. We hope to ensure that the people of Da Nang safely navigate their city in times of crisis.
