The problem we have been addressing is falls prevention during chest x-rays. The Mayo Clinic’s current solution varies based on the situation, but one option is having patients stand and trying to monitor them for potential falls. Another option is to have them lay down and slide x-ray plates beneath them, but this results in poorer quality x-rays.  This project is working to create a more adaptable solution for patients who cannot use the chets x-ray machine as it currently stands.
